VPPO uses classroom data to run the class—not to advertise to it.

This notice applies to Vocabulary Power Plus Online at vppo.app, operated by Prestwick House, Inc., P.O. Box 658, Clayton, Delaware 19938. The separate Prestwick House store privacy policy applies to purchases and the adult store account used to sign in.

VPPO receives the adult’s Prestwick House customer identifier, name, email, and available organization or company relationship. It stores the VPPO role, school or district organization, seat and purchase records, classes, assignments, time zone and notification preferences, support history, and security and activity records. VPPO never receives or stores the adult’s Prestwick House password.

A teacher supplies a display name and class enrollment. VPPO records the student credential, assigned work, learning progress, responses, scores, attempts, timing, and teacher feedback. The service may record a protected digest of a network address, device or browser description, and activity time for account security and troubleshooting.

Student accounts do not require email, home address, telephone number, payment information, precise location, photograph, or date of birth. The complete school and family notice is available on the Student Data page.

Information is used to validate access and purchases, allocate seats, deliver curriculum, save and grade work, report results, communicate with adult account holders, answer support requests, prevent abuse, investigate incidents, maintain the service, and meet contractual or legal obligations. VPPO does not sell student information or use it for targeted advertising, unrelated marketing, or commercial profiling.

Railway hosts the application, database, and private curriculum audio. BigCommerce validates adult Prestwick House identity, organization, and purchase information. Resend delivers adult transactional and support email. These providers process only the information needed for their operational function. VPPO may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or the service, or during a business transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice.

Routine student work and answer data remain in the protected VPPO workspace. Transactional email does not include student names, responses, correct answers, or PINs; it directs the authorized teacher back to VPPO.

An educator trial records the linked Prestwick House identity, organization, activation method and time, browser description, and a protected digest of the requesting network address. Older trials may also retain the educator-use statement supplied at activation. VPPO records when the registered adult reaches teacher-only assessment material so misuse can be investigated. The digest is not the plain network address.

Classroom records are kept while the school’s account and educational purpose remain active and until the school directs archival or deletion. Diagnostic activity records are scheduled for deletion after 90 days, routine operational records after one year, and security records after two years. Purchase, consent, incident, and legally required records may be retained longer. Provider backups age out on their controlled backup cycle after deletion from the active system.

An authorized school representative may ask Prestwick House to identify, access, correct, export, restrict, or delete school-controlled records. Parents and guardians should normally begin with the student’s school so it can authenticate and direct the request. Send the adult account email, school name, class name, and request to contact@vppo.app. Do not send a password, PIN, or student response by email.

VPPO uses technical and organizational safeguards described on its Security page. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Material changes to this notice will be posted here with a new effective date and communicated to adult account holders when appropriate.
